Return Charter Bus

Lose the hassle of driving with our BTV Express bus service. Jump on our comfortable coach departing from Federation Square, Melbourne CBD directly to BTV.

Charter Bus Info:

  • There are only return tickets available, unfortunately we are unable to sell one-way tickets.
  • You can not change the service once you have selected and booked your seat.
  • It is your responsibility to make both departure times as no refunds will be given for people that miss the bus or change their mind.
  • We may schedule more buses according to demand, however, if we sell less than 50% of the bus tickets, we will have to cancel the bus. Don’t worry though, we will refund you and inform you with plenty of time to make other arrangements.
  • Tickets for the charter bus do not include your festival ticket.
  • Baggage limits apply – 2-3 bag MAXIMUM per ticket holder including tents

Travelling By Car

The most direct way to get to Beyond The Valley is to drive. While each journey will take varying times for each attendee depending on their starting point, we recommend taking the following route.

If you are driving to Beyond The Valley and camping on-site you must pre-purchase a car pass. You only need to purchase one car pass per vehicle. We have introduced car passes for BTV to create more space by encouraging people to carpool. Click below for more information on car passes.

Once car passes sell out, you are not permitted to drive your car to the festival and must find another way to get to the event

Public Transport

Catch a V Line Train to Drouin Station located on both the Traralgon and Bairnsdale lines.

A Beyond The Valley shuttle bus will be running directly from Drouin Station to the festival gates. Shuttle buses will be running on the 1st of January to take patrons from the site back to Drouin Station.

The free shuttle bus will be operating from Drouin and Warragul Railway station every 30 minutes from the following times:

  • Dec 28th – 8am – 6pm
  • Dec 29th – 8am – 6pm
  • Dec 30th – 8am – 6pm
  • Dec 31st – 8am – 6pm
  • Jan 1st – 6am – 4pm

Interstate & International Arrivals

If you’re traveling from another state or country, the closest airport to BTV is Tullamarine Airport. Depending on traffic, the drive takes roughly 90 minutes to reach the site.

The quickest and easiest way to get from the Tullamarine Airport is to hire a car, however, for those wanting to catch public transport please refer to the below instructions:
Catch the Sky Bus to Southern Cross Station.

Jump on a V Line Train to Drouin Station which is located on both Traralgon and Bairnsdale lines.

Beyond The Valley is located near the small town of Lardner in the Gippsland Region of Victoria just 90 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD. Within the local community there’s an abundance of interesting things to see and do before and after the festival in the Baw Baw Shire. Car Passes

If you are driving to Beyond The Valley and camping in the general campsite on-site you must pre-purchase a car pass. You only need to purchase one car pass per vehicle. We have introduced car passes for BTV to create more space by encouraging people to carpool.

If you arrive at BTV with 4 or more people in your vehicle, you will be entitled to a rebate to the full value of your car pass.

If you're camping in Electric City or Lux Camp you do not require a car pass.

Once car passes sell out, you are not permitted to drive your car to the festival and must find another way to get to the event.
